Has it occurred to anyone that the reason we are all so damn tired is not because we are so BUSY with our lives, but because we are so BORED with our lives?
We make decisions that keep us safe, secure and loved. We don’t like upsetting the balance. We don’t like upsetting other people. But in the meantime, we are swallowing back that rising feeling that life should be just a little bit better.
I’ve been guilty of this. Trying to do the RIGHT thing – whatever that is? Right for who? It certainly wasn’t right for ME!
Over the last six months, I’ve been doing one crazy thing after another. Imagining that I could do things I’ve never done before. Imagining that there was something better out there for me. Imagining that I have the strength and confidence to bring wonderful things into my life. Imagining that I am the author of my own story.
Some people have expressed disapproval of what I’m doing. They have been surprised, shocked and angry. I mean, seriously, how dare I take charge of my own life? How dare I hope for something more than just mediocre? How dare I own my power as a woman?
When a woman takes back her power, interesting things happen. Firstly, some men have found it incredibly alluring, perhaps hoping to own or tame such a creature (ho-hum!). Secondly, other guys have come out of the woodwork and have encouraged me in my endeavours (thank the Lord for REAL men!). And thirdly, I have seen other women around me considering the possibility that they too can be or have more (you go girl!).
Where has this got me? I can certainly assure you that this is the happiest I’ve ever been.
Where is this taking me? Let’s face it, anything could happen, but I still have a few crazy things up my sleeve. In fact, my “crazy-confidence” is increasing, so over the next few months, I have two of the biggest, boldest moves of my life coming up.
I have learned that sometimes you have to completely dismantle your life to make room for the next big thing to happen.
Bring it on! All of it! Go crazy!
