Further to my recent post, Let’s Go Camping, it has come to my attention that there may have been some confusion (on the part of at least one unnamed blogger) about the nature of Camp NaNoWriMo, who thought it was an actual camp (with tents etc).
To clarify, Camp NaNoWriMo is a virtual camp, and can be attended by anyone around the world. There will be no marshmallows, sleeping on hard ground, porridge, wet feet, pitching tents or wild bears. You do not have to travel beyond the safety of your laptop. You will not need to arrange for someone to feed your cat while you are away.
However, it does start on Monday (1 July), so if this information changes things for you and you want to join us, you need to get onto it – kinda now!
If it was obvious to you that this was a camp that did not require sleeping bags, then perhaps you’ll understand that it took me 5 minute to compose myself after our anonymous blogger told me of their misunderstanding. That was half an hour ago. I’m still giggling 😂
As for my blogger friend (you know who you are) – thanks for the best laugh I’ve had in months!

LMAO! 😂 Ah yes, the onesies! Saw one the other day that was a pink unicorn. Future generations are going to laugh at us SO hard for these! Anyway, I’ve got my writing slippers on now, if that helps 😃

Camping in Ireland could have be fun all the same, trying to hold our nanowrimo pages from blowing away in the breeze, dodging cloud bursts and midge bites!.. pity
