Touching the Morning Star

It is easy to whisper your deepest feelings to the dark – when you wake they are but a will-o’-the-wisp. The night will not share your secrets or break your heart.

It is safe to speak of bold ideas and dreams to the morning star – she will not hold you to your promises. But when you come face to face with Venus and you can touch the star that was once a million miles away, your open heart can close.

What was once a distant twinkle is now standing in front of you, and the kaleidoscope of feelings that once gave you purpose are now replaced with fear.

The sweet nothings you spoke to her now seen to be from another dimension. The plans you made now seem too bold. The dreams you dreamed now seem so idealistic.

And the fantasy slips away…
And your walls go up…
And the star flickers and starts to dim…

But you’ve forgotten that the star in front of you is just a dreamer like you. She is the one that wanted those same dreams, made those same plans, and whispered in your ear as you drifted off to sleep.

You do not need to be afraid. You do not need to fear the harshness of reality. You do not need to fear losing her.

For there is a place where the two of you came together that is away from the mundane, not of this world. A place where you can still whisper your love… dream wildly… make plans… and make love.

If you can only find that place again, then your heart can beat again and the walls can melt into oblivion.

    Hope all is well Mate been a minute for me

    Had to take a 3 month hiatus from writing as my concentration and focus are very limited

    But been writing a little here and there still working on my book DKD going strong almost finished the back stories of all the characters.
